Our Story
2022
A group of three families from the Dundas area gathered for prayer and discerning asking two questions:
1. Jesus, what are you doing in Dundas?
2. Do you want us to partner with you in this?
They began meeting in homes and inviting others to join, slowly building a community

Eventually the group grew, and they began having worship gatherings on the second Sunday of each month, affectionately know as "Second Sunday's"
The Journey began with a weekly youth group, fulfilling the need for Jesus-centred programming in Dundas

Blessed with a space at Grace Valley Church, it became clear that this was the path Jesus was leading them on
2 years later, The Journey is still growing and establishing roots as a fully fledged New Venture in the Dundas community

In September, Darin along with the lead team signed a rental agreement at Dundas Baptist Church to continue their youth program and begin having weekly Sunday services

The Journey is a Bible-based, inter-generational, community-minded church. A community of people being changed by an encounter with Jesus and the love of God. Wherever you are on the journey of faith - skeptical, curious, or all-in - The Journey is a place for you to take your next steps individually and in community.
The mission of The Journey, Dundas, is to follow God’s leading as we grow in a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled church. Our vision as a church is to pursue a deep life in Christ as we walk in step with the Spirit, in fellowship with each other, and on mission in our local community. We want to be a church that is full of spiritual life and evidence of God's presence.
We are a part of a larger family of churches called The Christian & Missionary Alliance (CMA). The Alliance has been a growing movement of churches since the 1880s.
We are people committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With more than 430 local churches in Canada, we engage in justice and compassion work in Canada and around the globe. We long to be a movement of churches transformed by Christ, transforming Canada and the world.

We recognize the authority of the Bible in everything we do, and our thirst is to love God with everything we have - our hearts, souls, and minds - and to love people as we love ourselves.
